Jeff Palkowski, MHRM, SHRM-SCP, PHR is a Workforce Relations Specialist and Divisional Disability Representative with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Information Technology. He has worked in both private and public sector human resources roles and has been an active member with the Society for Human Resource Management at national, state, and local chapter levels since 2003.
Jeff currently serves as the District Director – Southwest and Director of Communications/Social Media with Wisconsin State Council SHRM, SHRM Advocacy Captain for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District and is a SHRM Foundation Leadership Circle member. He previously served as the Director of Government Affairs for Wisconsin State Council SHRM and as a volunteer leader for the Greater Madison Area SHRM and Blackhawk HRA chapters.
Jeff is active on social media and currently serves as a SHRM Social Media Ambassador. He was a member of the 2021 SHRM Annual Conference Influencer Team, 2019 SHRM Annual Conference Blogger Team, has appeared on HR-related podcasts including the HR Social Hour and HR Break Room podcasts, and has been cited in several media publications. Jeff is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications-Journalism (BA) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned a Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM) with distinction from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He has completed additional coursework at Cardinal Stritch University, Purdue University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
