About this opportunity
The Human Resources Generalist is a key resource for hourly employees at the Menasha facility. This person is responsible for various Human Resource related activities. The HR Generalist will assist with all aspects of the Human Resource function including but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training and terminating employees.  Activities also include assistance with the management of employee benefits and compensation, employee records and personnel policies. They will report directly to the HR Manager.
 
What you will do
  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from hourly and salary employees which may include complex and/or sensitive matters.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions;
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to hourly compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters; labor relations; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping such as personnel files, attendance records, etc
  • Assist with all aspects of benefits administration
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with cultural improvement initiatives, wellness activities, and community engagement opportunities
 
What you have to offer
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field required
  • 3-5 years of related experience is required;
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • Computer literate with a strong knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exemplify professional behavior and confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills and active listening.
  • Highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction.
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, work rules and compliance standards.
  • Flexibility in work hours.
