Job Description
The Benefits Analyst position is responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of Accuray’s benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA/HSA accounts, health and wellness programs, employee assistance programs, leave of absences, COBRA, and the 401k Plan), as well as assist with daily benefits system support and reporting in Workday.
 
​Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer US benefit programs such as: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA/HSA accounts, health and wellness programs, employee assistance programs, leave of absences, COBRA, and the 401k Plan, in accordance with plan provisions and legal regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors on routine matters and engage in problem resolution.
  • Address all incoming benefit questions and issues by utilizing appropriate resources to implement a resolution. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to address questions as needed.
  • Reconcile/create monthly benefit invoices and process for payment or funding as required.
  • Proactively resolve benefit-related system issues and propose process improvements for benefits administration.
  • Monitor daily activities around Workday integrations including troubleshooting data, file failures, error handling and general issue resolution.
  • Oversee US benefits processing for new hires, terminations, and qualified life events by working with Accuray’s insurance carriers and our benefits tool, Workday.
  • Partner with benefits team to roll out US Open Enrollment (OE) including the process in Workday and other OE projects as assigned.
  • Maintain employee benefit records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Responsible for working with Affordable Care Act (ACA) vendor on reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare, run, and distribute ad hoc benefit data reports through Workday.
  • Monitor and update Accuray’s benefit SharePoint page with up-to-date information for employees.
  • Assist in ad hoc Workday transactions as needed.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of HR experience in Benefits Administration.
  • 3-5 years of Workday benefits experience.
  • Program and vendor management experience.
  • Proficient in Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, including the development of presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including working with all levels of employees and managers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
