To accomplish this mission you will oversee the entire talent life cycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, team’s augmentation and offboarding. You will interact with our teams and, as the team’s minister of culture, ensure we have high engagement and superb performance.
 
The ideal candidate for the Team Success Manager has demonstrated general experience leading the HR function and is comfortable being the primary HR representative in a fast-paced, non-hierarchical start-up company where self-directed teams subscribe to and practice working the Wellbe Way.

The Team Success Manager role is exempt and full-time. Wellbe is headquartered in Madison, WI, and a local candidate is preferred.  
 
How you will add value: 

  • Lead the recruitment process
  • Coordinate the employee on- and off-boarding processes 
  • Maintain accurate employee records
  • Actively participate on cross functional teams that are focused on business and team operations 
  • Coordinate our Performance Development program
  • Be responsible for on- and off-boarding independent contractors 
  • Coordinate the monthly payroll and annual benefits open enrollment 
  • Plan various culture and team events throughout the year

 
Knowledge and skills you need to be successful: 
 

  • Experience with recruiting technical and non-technical roles and for exempt and non-exempt roles
  • Demonstrated ability to design HR processes (e.g. onboarding) for greater efficiency
  • Manage with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to lead difficult conversations with empathy
  • Good time management and prioritization to be responsive, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at one time
  • Familiar and comply with employment law in several states
  • Experience with performance development and coaching teammates is a plus
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of several teams 
  • Conversant and up to date with current and emerging trends in employment, culture, benefits, professional development, etc. 

 
Experience required:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent in experience is required
  • Minimum 5 years working as an HR Generalist is required
  • Minimum 2 years working in a small, start-up company is required
  • HR credential (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred
  • Experience with BambooHR, Predictive Index, E-Verify is a plus
