Description: | The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) provides information technology services to UW-Madison, all UW campuses, the UW System, and other agencies, operating with a budget of over $110 million. DoIT employs approximately 800 employees including highly technical IT staff, management, administrative support, and students. Under the general supervision of the Assistant HR Director, these two positions will join the DoIT HR Operations team as key members in recruitment, assessment, and selection, and other related work. Primary work for the Recruitment Specialist includes performance of full life-cycle recruitment including development of recruitment plans, sourcing, and advertisements, assessment tools, providing guidance for best practices in assessment techniques and methods, and selection processes. The incumbent will be a resource for titling and compensation programs, university policy interpretation, and provide support for coordination of information and workflow. The HR Business Partner will serve as a consultative Human Resources liaison for division staff, interpreting, advising, applying, and disseminating complex policies, procedures, and options to leadership and employees; and recommending best strategies according to established objectives and goals. This position will manage recruitment, compensation, and titling, facilitate and process complex transactions and programs; run, audit, and resolve reports; develop and implement processes and procedures, and apply knowledge and application of EID principles in completion of work. The position will manage annual projects, perform general human resource management activities, and other assignments; manage and implement titling and compensation programs and structures; provide expert human resources consultation and manage all aspects of recruitment, assessment, selection and staffing functions for multiple appointment types in assigned areas. Incumbents are expected to demonstrate exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with managers, supervisor, coworkers, and customers to understand work units and their HR needs; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with tact and discretion; use effective team skills to contribute to the efficient operation of the work unit; present ideas and carry out assignments, provide information as required, and; effectively build knowledge and skills through professional development. |
