Description: Responsibilities: 

Mergers
1.    Works closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization to define Human Resources (HR) strategies, points of view, road-maps, workflows, and other deliverables to support the HR department’s implementation, integration, and management.
2.    Works closely with HR and across business communities in assessing requirements and identifying potential solutions, always assessing existing procedures/policies as a first step.
3.    Participates in cross-functional teams for developing and implementing new processes or adapting to existing processes. This could include designing, developing, modifying and adapting short and long-term solutions 
4.    Applies HR business expertise to business problems to create high level solutions and end user requirements.
5.    Understand Connexus Credit Union’s desired end state business model including business strategy, offerings, operations and structure.
6.    Identify HR core business capabilities and processes, the entities that interact with those capabilities, and the interactions between these core business capabilities
7.    Gather, analyze and articulate HR high-level business capabilities & requirements

HR Generalist 
8.    Partner with HR management team to communicate and administer various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations for all personnel.
9.    Provide advice and counsel to managers in the area of employee discipline and attend disciplinary meetings for all individual-contributor level positions.  
10.    Track and process all employee changes in the HRIS, i.e. promotions, transfers, and departures within HR systems.
11.    Assist HR Management team by recommending new strategies and approaches to support the success of the organization and completing special projects as requested. 
12.    Comply with all Federal Regulations as they pertain to your job duties, including BSA
13.    Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:  
1.    Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field (preferably in a related field such as HR or Communication) or equivalent experience is required. 
2.    5 years of experience working within all Human Resource functions as an HR Generalist or higher position is required
3. 3 years of experience with direct or active involvement/engagement of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures or commensurate experience is required
4.    Understanding and ability to interpret employment law is required
5.    Project Management experience is preferred
6.    Comfortable working with ambiguity and gray spaces in an ongoing changing environment
7.    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, prioritization, relationship and change management skills
8.    Strong critical thinking, problem solving, conflict management and decision making skills
9.    Excellent communication skills: oral, written, presentation and facilitation
10.    Ability to produce high quality work products under pressure and within deadlines
11.    Evidence of good organization skills, and the ability to prioritize and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
12.    Previous work experience demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
13.    Requires proficient skills to use Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel and Word
14.    Ability to analyze job functions and identify potential efficiencies 
15.    Demonstrated ability to be a team player, with willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
16.    Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule

Work Conditions: 
1.    Ability to work approximately 45 hours per week, potentially more during an active merger. 
2.    Ability to work within a matrix style management structure. 
3.    Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with potential temporary relocation for duration of merger & acquisition. 
4.    Ability to work at a computer, focused on a screen; communicate verbally via the phone and in person and in writing through email and other documents.
