Description: Market & Johnson, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist -Employee Development person to join our Eau Claire, WI location!
Are you a HR Professional who is passionate about creating and implementing strategic organizational processes and employee development programs? This position will manage strategic & administrative HR responsibilities, working widely across the company to create a culture which adds value to our employees and HR processes. This position is full time and provides competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of successful recruiting and office staffing strategies
  • Coordinate job descriptions, salary benchmarks, search process, background checks, offer letters, and communication plan to applicants; meet compliance in reporting and record retention; serve as an advisor to hiring managers 
  • Manage onboarding process, paperwork, and orientation of new hires
  • Facilitate employee performance appraisal process and communication 
  • Coordinate employee or leadership training programs and special requests (i.e. Mentoring program, MJ Night University, Diversity) coordinate education on employment law or HR best practices (i.e. FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Anti-Harassment, Hiring/ Interviewing, Coaching Employees, Performance Management)
  • Review, establish and build accountability to consistent best practices in employee and organizational policies
  • Proactively address employee concerns, conflict management and gap performance issues
  • Advise in decision-making processes around conflict resolution, grievance responses, termination, and other business solutions
  • Coordinate and support Health/Benefits Administration, Insurance and communicate with employees
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures
  • Setup and maintain documentation for office personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances & disciplinary actions
  • Consult on federal or state employment laws, or HR-related matters, and educate up and out across the organization regarding best practices in HR
  • Promote and participate in the planning and implementation of communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent, and timely information on business issues and employee concerns
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • 5 years human resources or related experience 
  • HR Professional Certification - SHRM or PHR
  • Ability to form productive and positive relationships across the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS system(s)
