Description: Role Summary: 

The Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will lead WPS efforts to realize a diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) workplace. This includes developing and implementing strategies that advance organizational change, foster a positive and inclusive work environment for everyone, and ensure that DEI considerations are incorporated in the decision-making processes.

In this role you will:

  • Provide thought leadership, advocacy, and strategy to develop and execute on WPS’ inclusive excellence framework: Industry Leadership, Employee Experience, Customer Inclusion, and Community Impact
  • Counsel and advise the Executive team and Board of Directors in developing short and long-term DEI vision and transforming WPS
  • Develop enterprise DEI OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), report on progress and roadblocks to the Executive team, and provide recommended solutions to address issues
  • Sponsor and guide the efforts of the DEI accountability board—a small group of diverse employees that help identify and prioritize work to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment
  • Proactively build and maintain community, customer, and industry partnerships

You will have:

  • A fundamental understanding of issues and challenges related to race and other diverse groups
  • Ability to plan, design, and deliver programs and practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to counsel our Executive Team, people leaders, and employees, demonstrating confidentiality, tact, and resourcefulness
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, organizational, relationship-building, and project management skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail
  • Respect for, knowledge of, and skills to engage with people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of experience, but we recognize the ideal candidate may likely have 10 years of relevant experience and impact, a compelling track record to consider, and a demonstrated passion for driving meaningful change across an enterprise
