WI SHRM HR Student Conference Registration Open!
Our upcoming WI SHRM HR Student Conference & Case Competition is happening on Saturday, April 1 in Beaver Dam for students. The HR Case Competition involves Student teams (ranging from 2 people but no bigger than 6) of undergraduate or masters students from various colleges and universities from the State of Wisconsin.
Student participants can win cash prizes for their WISHRM Student Chapter (1st - $1,000, 2nd - $850, 3rd - $500) and if your team competes in the case competition, those in attendance will also get the opportunity to attend a conference, network with current SHRM students and professionals alike, and connect with our Keynote speakers who have lots of tips and tricks for emerging college professionals all for the low, low price of FREE!
Content that the students will produce their case from, will be provided from national SHRM to your team 2 weeks before the actual event, providing time to prepare an oral presentation and content as it will focus on any number of HR issues including:
Management Practices |
Selection & Recruitment |
Training & Development |
Compensation & Benefits |
Employee/Labor Relations |
Health, Safety & Security |
In this “realistic job preview” competition, student team members will leverage knowledge acquired through their studies and apply it to a realistic HR situation likely to be encountered in the work world. This competition requires integrated HR thinking, ethical decision-making, and strong communications and presentation skills.
To participate:
