Human Resources - Assistant Director
Human Resources Specialist, Senior University Housing seeks an energetic individual to join our Human Resources team. University Housing employs over 420 staff and 2000 student employees. Our 16-person HR Department is committed to providing our customers outstanding service and sound HR advice. This Assistant Director position will serve on the HR Leadership team with the primary area of responsibility of providing guidance to the Full-Time Employment team in regards to recruitment, FMLA, ADA, and employee relations. In total, the Assistant Director will provide oversight and direction to 5 full-time staff members and 1 student employee. Successful candidates will: • Have experience successfully handling sensitive and complex HR situations • Possess an interest in helping others grow and develop as Human Resources Professionals • Have a strong customer service orientation • Possess strong management and supervision skills • Have prior success in a leadership role • Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment • Be a strong team player Strongly Preferred: • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and training • 3 – 5 years of post-degree experience in a Human Resources role • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification A Criminal Background Check will be conducted on finalist(s) Minimum starting salary at $70,000 per year, determined by experience and qualifications, plus a competitive benefit package included!
