State Conference Subsidy Plan:
We are once again offering a conference subsidy to those HR Professionals who are currently in
transition (laid off due to the poor economic times) and may not otherwise be able to attend. The
conference attendee will be responsible for 65% of the full-cost to attend the conference. In
exchange for receiving the subsidy, we will ask for a commitment from the eligible attendee to
volunteer his/her time at the conference.
In order to be eligible, the following criteria must be met:
• Qualified recipient must be currently unemployed (June – Sept, 2013).
• Qualified recipient must be currently seeking full-time employment in the field of Human
Resources.
• Subsidy will not apply to professionals who are still employed but no longer receive funding
from their employers.
• Recent college graduates looking for HR jobs will not qualify for the subsidy. Must be
someone who has worked full-time in HR and is now in transition.
Refund/Cancellation Policy:
Conference Cancellations must be in writing.
A $75 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations received between July 27, 2013 and September 21, 2013. Requests for refunds after September 21st will be denied unless there are extenuating circumstances which prevent an attendee from finding another person to attend the conference in their place. These requests will be reviewed by members of the WI SHRM Executive Council, State Conference Co-Chairs and the Conference Liaison Director on a case-by-case basis.
Confirmed registrants (attendees or exhibitors) who fail to notify the WI SHRM State Conference of cancellation prior to the beginning of the conference will forfeit all fees paid.
Exhibitors are only eligible for refunds if the WI SHRM State Conference has a wait list established for the event and is able to sell the booth space to another vendor prior to September 21, 2013. All exhibitor refunds that are granted will be subject to a $75 administrative fee.
