Our mission—to share expertise and facilitate thought leadership to advance human resources practices across the state—is only possible because of the work of volunteers who choose to lead.

We are officially opening the call for nominations for several key volunteer positions within the Wisconsin SHRM State Council. Whether you are looking to lead our Council at the executive level, champion inclusion, serve as the voice for our organization, or guide the future of our statewide strategy, there are some great opportunities available for you.
Current Leadership Openings
Starting in the 2026 Council Year:
- Inclusion & Belonging Director
- Southeast District Director-Elect (Term begins July 1, 2026)
Starting in the 2027 Council Year:
- Core Leadership Area (CLA) Director
- Leadership Director-Elect
- Certification / Programming Director
- Communications / Social Media Director

How to Apply
We are looking for dynamic leaders who are current SHRM members and live or work in Wisconsin.

- Submit Your Nomination: Complete the Nominee Interest Form (To nominate another person other than yourself, complete the Council Nominations Form).
- Attach Files: Please have your current headshot, resume, and references ready to include with your application.
The initial application window is open through March 31, 2026. The Nominations Committee will review all applications and contact candidates by the end of April.
