2025 WI SHRM Student Summit Registration is Open!
Registration is now open for our inaugural WI SHRM Student Summit, being held on the UW-Whitewater campus on Saturday, April 5th, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
College Relations Director Emily Blakeslee and her committee have created a full-day of networking, connection, engagement, and education targeted toward traditional and non-traditional students seeking a career in human resources. Our programming aims to connect students with their peers and HR professionals to help prepare them for their future career goals. A highlight of the event will be hosting Faith Stipanovich, who serves as SHRM's recently appointed Manager for Academic and Student Communities. Faith will discuss the resources and benefits available to students through SHRM and the SHRM Foundation, including their successful Mentorship Program. In addition, several of our WI SHRM Council members have stepped up to lead sessions throughout the day.
In addition to the programming, we want to use this event as a catalyst to re-engage with our two—and four-year campuses, encouraging engagement with SHRM and promoting membership and certification as vital elements to a successful HR career. Several Wisconsin higher education institutions participate in SHRM's Academic Alignment Program for their HR curriculum but do not host a SHRM Student Chapter. We will work with SHRM to help those institutions receive the information and support needed to consider a student chapter for their campus.

If you would like to attend to support and engage with student attendees as an HR professional, you are also welcome to register for a reasonable fee of $25 to help defer event costs.
