WI SHRM Volunteer Leader Conference Recap
Every year, we bring together our chapter and council leaders for the Volunteer Leader Conference. This is a time for connection, collaboration, learning, and growth. For those who could not attend, consider joining us on August 14th and 15th, 2025, in Oshkosh. I’m excited to see what Dani Stuhr, 2025 Leadership Director, and the planning committee have in store.
Our conference this year was certainly one to remember. We introduced several new and different programs that haven’t been done before. There was the Meet Your Council session, award-winning best practices, and, let’s not forget, the strengthened focus on networking and collaboration. As with anything new, there were many lessons along the way that will help us enhance these programs in the future.
During the conference, we recognized several chapters and individuals. The highlights included ten of our chapters earning the Platinum Excel Awards, Green Bay Area SHRM earning the HR Agility Award, Emily Ware being recognized for our Rising Leader award, and, let’s not forget, Amy Doepke being recognized as our Lifetime Leader!
Another highlight was our keynote speaker, Anne Bonney, who brought a bright, insightful, and fun nature to the event. Her insights and vibrant delivery left everyone inspired and energized, adding a unique spark to the conference.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our Foundation. Sheree and Mary provided many insights during the conference programming. The amount raised at this conference set a new record.
A final thank you to our volunteer leaders who helped bring together the conference, our sponsors, and, of course, our attendees. We look forward to seeing you next year!
