State Director's End of the Year Message
We can all agree the year did not go as planned and many events were cancelled. But with these challenges, we began thinking about different ways to deliver services to our members. As volunteers, we were able to continue to provide opportunities to learn and share ideas. For many, these virtual events allowed for more people to be involved as with our Volunteer Leader Conference which increased attendance from 100 to over 400. Your patience and willingness to try new things created these successes.
I would like to thank all of you, the HR professionals in Wisconsin, for the extra hours you worked to help your employees, your families and each other during this challenging year. From these unexpected events of 2020, we grew as individuals and as teams and accomplished more than we hoped. Be proud of what you accomplished and celebrate your success. I wish you the best as we move into 2021.
Lastly, I would to thank everyone for the opportunity to serve as your State Director for the last two years. It truly has been my pleasure to work with all the tremendous volunteers in the Chapters and on the State Council. Beginning in 2021, Jackie Peterson takes the reigns as your new State Director and I would like to wish her the best in her new role.
