WI SHRM Membership Report
It is difficult to comprehend that we are about to see an end to 2022! We sure hope you had a great year making an impact to your organizations and making new connections through your local chapter or virtually through a SHRM sponsored event. As you wrap up 2022 and prepare for the challenges of 2023, we wanted to bring to your attention that effective February 1st, 2023 that the annual membership fee for SHRM national will be increasing from $229/year to $244/year. Did you know that you do not have to wait until close to your membership to renew for the next year? If your membership is due to expire after February 2023 you can renew your membership now and not have to worry about the price increase.
You may have heard the term dual membership. What does dual membership mean and how does it benefit me? A dual member is a member of SHRM and a local chapter. What are some of the benefits of dual membership? Dual members are the most engaged, educated and up to date on all HR issues, dual members are informed at the national level with cutting edge research and certifications. Your local membership aids you in being connected to your community and in addition support and education.
Did you know that there are 5 levels of membership with SHRM? The 5 levels are Professional, Global, Student, Executive and Enterprise. When you are reviewing your renewal, please review these membership levels so you are in touch with the best resources to support you. If you are retiring in 2023 and wish to keep up to date on HR topics and trends, consider renewing with a professional retired membership at just $55/year. We know how much you enjoyed your career and now you can keep filling your bucket even with your feet in the sand and enjoying some much-deserved relaxation.
