WI SHRM Foundation Recap
The WI SHRM State Council held the Volunteer Leadership Conference (VLC) on August 8th & 9th. The event included dynamic programming and informational sessions on the three pillars of The SHRM Foundation Purpose – widening pathways to work, strengthening the HR profession, and tackling societal challenges.
SHRM chapters and council leaders had the opportunity to support The Foundation at this year’s event through a cork pull, silent auction, gift card pull, and a book and clothing sale. The silent auction even included two opportunities to bid on the exciting HR Conference Cruise. State Conference attendees will have the opportunity to bid on two additional HR Conference Cruise items in October.
We are pleased to share that the fundraising activities at VLC raised $4,100, surpassing last year’s total! The success of this event is a testament to the kindness and dedication of the Human Resources professionals in the state of Wisconsin. Sincere gratitude to all the donors, bidders, and volunteers, who made this event such a success! Special thanks goes out to Jackie Peterson for her generous donation of hundreds of books and SHRM apparel. Thanks also to Connie Bitter and Jeff Palkowski for their donation of the HR Conference Cruise packages.
We are already looking forward to the State Conference silent auction! If you or your business are interested in donating for this event, please contact foundation@wishrm.org.
Thank you again for your incredible support.
