Biography

I’ve been in the HR field for 8 years. I started off in the staffing industry with Kelly Services where my main responsibility was recruiting and placing candidates in key positions that matches my customer’s needs as well as the candidates’.  From there I went on to become HR Manager at a start-up food manufacturing facility, Intevation Food Group.  I was challenged with the task to start the HR department from ground zero and operated in a department of 1. We grew from 20 people to 150 people in the plant in 3 years. I was the jack of all trades, being responsible for generalist and administrative duties to strategic partnerships with executive staff. I was then given the opportunity to work in a larger, 615 employee food manufacturing company, McCain Foods. Here, I work in a Specialist role focusing on plant recruitment and employee relations.

I graduated from UWSP with a BS in Business Administration and Psychology. I went on to obtain my Masters in Human Resource Management from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. I have been certified PHR since 2007. I love to be involve in my HR community networking with experts who love the same profession as I do. I served on the Stevens Point Area Human Resource Association (SPAHRA) board for four years. First serving as Workforce Readiness then as Professional Development Chair. I look forward to learning and being a part of WISHRM.
