We are seeking an ­HR Service Center Representative:

  • Support the leave of absence process.
  • Assist with unemployment, I-9 certification and tracking, background check compliance, displaced worker program, etc. 
  • Receive and effectively resolve customer inquiries via phone and email from UW Health physicians, leaders, employees and vendors.
  • Provide first-tier Human Resources support and resolution to UW Health physicians, leaders, and employees with questions regarding HR policies, practices, tools and processes.
  • Record and track requests via a case management tool, track from initiation to resolution, escalate issues and seek advice when needed.
  • Perform administrative, transactional, and data/records management activities to support the Human Resources department

Education:

Minimum - High School Graduate 

Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Bilingual 

Work Experience:

Minimum - One year of experience in an HR environment; relevant internship experience considered

Preferred - Two years of experience in Human Resources

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred - PHR

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, HRIS (i.e. PeopleSoft), Recruitment applications (i.e. Taleo), Case Management and Knowledge management tools (i.e. ServiceNow, Oracle Cloud)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in writing with all levels within the organization demonstrating a high level of integrity, ethics and customer service
  • Attentive listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions to aid in problem solving and issue escalation

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, 40 hours per week.  Scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.  Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
