| Description: | Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a payroll specialist to join our Finance department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining payroll records by collecting, calculating and entering changes in exemptions, direct deposits, address changes, garnishment requests, and other information; tracking relocation expenses; downloading and verifying time entry information into a payroll system and posting employee timesheets; tracking relocation expenses; updating monthly vacation and sick accruals; running various biweekly and monthly payroll reports; scanning payroll reports for security; processing employment verifications; setting up new employees in Deltek Vision; and assisting with payroll transmission, payroll balancing, and state registration as necessary. The successful candidate will have an associate degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or business AND at least two years of relevant payroll experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: large multi-state payrolls and outsourced payroll systems; Microsoft office including advanced knowledge of Excel (especially using advanced formulas) and Outlook; state and local tax laws as relates to payroll; balancing payroll; Deltek Vision. Experience at an A/E/C firm is also ideal.
