Minimum $17.25

JOB SUMMARY:

The Department of Dairy Science is a large complex unit with resources exceeding $7 million. Department responsibilities include two research and instruction dairy operation facilities. The Department has approximately 170 appointments totaling approximately $2.5 million. This position will be responsible for all aspects of coordinating and processing of payroll and benefit information for the university staff , graduate student and student hourly appointments for the department and the herd operations. 

Under the general supervision of the Academic Department Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and processing University Staff and student appointments and administering the fringe benefits programs associated with each, and managing other payroll-related activities. Duties include appointment and payroll production and processing, This position provides sensitive information to the Academic Department Manager, Herd Administrator and the Department Chair relative to the situations involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, Income Continuation Insurance and Worker's Compensation which may be used in various personnel actions. Duties also include knowledge of HR Policies and University Staff Policies and Procedures.

SCHEDULE COMMENT:

Schedule will be within the campus standard of Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:30pm and will be firm on 5 days per week.
The percentage for this position is 80%.
