This position reports to the Plant Manager with additional support from Corporate, and will be a part of a global organization and HR team with opportunity to interact locally, regionally and globally.  Our manufacturing facilities in the U.S. make products for our customers around the world, and are critical to meeting our growth targets wherever we sell and distribute our products. Donaldson has also been in existence for almost 100 years, offering great stability.
 
You will bring value to Donaldson through:

• Ownership of the HR function for the location
• HR Generalist responsibilities:
  • Lead training initiatives and needs assessments
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Leverage talent system in succession management
  • Foster cross training and rotational assignments
  • Facilitate the performance management program  - develop HR Staff and work w/ managers on developing their staff
  • Facilitate safety and workers’ compensation programs
  • Compliance/Affirmative Action Plan communication
  • Manage employee relations
  • Local administration of employee benefits programs
  • Develop/execute communication plan to disseminate information to plant employees
  • Ensure accurate and timely records processing (payroll and other HRIS information)
  • Maintain positive labor relations
• Manage budget for HR department
• Lead human resource team for location
• Involvement in Operational efficiency leadership (Lean, Six Sigma) and other continuous improvement initiatives
