Description: SUMMARY
 
We are looking for a positive and upbeat individual to take on the role of Human Resources Generalist – Recruiting Specialist. The Recruiting Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. This person will also perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and carry out responsibilities in all of the functional areas:  Recruiting, Hiring, Benefits, Team Member Relations, and Safety.
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
  • Promotes and upholds the 11 Bergstrom Guest Service Basics and Bergstrom Standards.
  • Maintains knowledge of basic dealership information to act as a resource for incoming callers requesting such information.
  • Maintains professional appearance and neat work area in order to be seen as a professional company.
  • Returns general phone calls and e-mails on a daily basis in order to assist anyone with questions and to build a communication network between all locations.
  • Assists in day-to-day Human Resource operations as needed
 
Recruiting/Hiring
 
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and team members to find talent.
  • Develop and track measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process so that the processes are transparent and measurable. Set continuous improvement goals.
  • Post openings and process applicants through the ATS system (Ultipro).
  • Conduct phone screening and/or interviewing to assess a candidates fit for applied position.
  • Refer and track qualified candidates to hiring manager.  Follow up on candidates to track interview and hire or no hire.
  • Track and help coordinate sending of ‘No Thank You’ letter to candidates not qualified and correctly file all resumes.
  • Track open and filled positions.
  • Represents Company at Job Fairs (driving to and setting up these events).
  • Prepare and conduct presentations on careers with Bergstrom at various functions.
  • Lead diversity recruitment efforts in building a more diverse work force.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • One to two years of HR and/or corporate recruiting experience preferred.
  • Experience with recruiting, technical recruiting a plus.
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
 
SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
 
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to collect and interpret data-based measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness or failure of the recruitment system from position opening to onboarding.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
