Description: | CoVantage Credit Union, a $2.2 billion financial institution with over 400 employees at 20 locations, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources team. Job Duties

Provides guidance on matters related to performance management to assist managers in documenting performance in a manner that is fair and accurate

Oversees the timely and accurate processing of payroll, benefit enrollment, and recruiting assistance to hiring managers

Ensures the quality and accuracy of data utilized for reporting and tracking key metrics

Maintains a high-level working knowledge of the HRIS, performance management, and other software or web-based solutions utilized by the human resources team

Keeps abreast of current and emerging legislation and regulations related to employment and ensures the credit union remains compliant

Works to ensure the credit union remains a good place for people to work including ensuring an equitable distribution of pay that; conducting timely, effective performance appraisals; working to develop staff; and encouraging two-way communication
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field or equivalent experience; PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

A minimum of 3 years human resource experience with a focus on recruiting, selecting, interviewing, pre-employment testing, on-boarding, and performance management; 5 years preferred

Strong working knowledge, and the ability to apply and interpret, state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to the human resource function

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis

High level of hands-on experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs

Ability to apply independent decision making regarding employment, disciplinary, and other personnel related matters

Proven ability to maintain confidential employee information
