Biography:Jeffrey Russell, of Russell Consulting, Inc., specializes in guiding organizations in successfully responding to the challenges of continuous change. With a focus on leading change, strategic thinking and planning, employee engagement surveys, leadership, and performance coaching, Jeff has worked with organizations as diverse as Fortune 500 firms, nonprofits, the public sector, and small family businesses. Jeff is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences — including Wisconsin State SHRM Conferences, ASTD International Conferences, and Jamaica Employer’s Federation Conferences.
Jeff received his Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he serves as an adjunct faculty member. Jeff and his life/work partner Linda have co-authored nine books. Program Overview:When initiating a major change we typically look toward rational models for getting people’s attention and then influencing them to embrace change. This does work, for some people, but for many, it’s simply not enough. Just look at the struggles that most organizations have when introducing change. It’s clear that there’s more going on and that we need to dig deeper to uncover the true drivers of change. In this provocative exploration of how to lead change effectively, you’ll learn the hidden factors that profoundly influence whether people embrace or run away from change. You’ll also learn methods for discovering these hidden drivers and explore strategies for tackling these often below-the-radar processes. Finally, you’ll apply this framework to analyze the hidden drivers at work in your own organization and then use insights from this analysis to develop HR strategies for effective change management.
