Frank Beverage Group in Middleton, WI is now hiring for a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager is responsible for assuring all company employees are paid accurately, on time and in compliance with applicable State and Federal Laws.
Responsibilities:

Compile payroll data such as garnishments, paid time off, sales incentives, commissions, special events, and insurance/401k deductions

Analyze, prepare and input payroll data and ensure that all payroll files are complete, accurate and kept confidential

Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management as requested.

Perform various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides General Ledger support

Review and processes changes to employee information: salary changes, supervisor changes, terminations, direct deposits, department and location changes, and status changes.

Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws

Train and support employees and managers on how to use the payroll system tools and reporting

Respond to inquiries from supervisors and employees regarding questions or concerns about paychecks or pay in general

Reconcile monthly insurance billings

Participate in year-end activities such as reconciling and distributing W-2’s as required

Performs calendar year reconciliation of wages & 401(k) deductions for annual 401(K) audit

Create annual payroll analysis for Workmen’s Comp audit

Maintain expert knowledge of automated payroll system & time and attendance system including polling electronic time clocks, reviewing downloaded information for completeness and accuracy, and resolving any time or attendance discrepancies

Develop and implement policies and procedures needed to effect accurate hours collection and payroll data collection from the operating facilities

Align payroll systems and practices with HR benefits including vacation tracking, 401k deductions, to ensure effective accounting support and employee reporting

Assist the Human Resources Director with various tasks and projects

Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other related field required or equivalent accounting work experience

5 or more years Payroll Administration experience

Significant experience with payroll & time and attendance software and ability to learn specific applications
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and as a part of a team

Attention to detail and well organized

Effective oral and written communication skills including accuracy and spelling

Excellent computers skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing software

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics preferred

Ability to manage multiple priorities
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis
