Essential to this Position
Key Duties And Responsibilities:

Support multi-site manufacturing and distribution facilities; located in WI and IL
-
Manage local site HR professionals at multi-sites
-
Partners with business leaders to assure successful deployment of talent acquisition/management, employee engagement, leadership development, communications, compensation, and benefits initiatives
-
Establishes and analyzes key HR metrics and provides leadership support to ensure business objectives are met
-
Assures compliance with collective bargaining agreement including contract interpretation and disciplinary and grievance process; assists with arbitration case preparation, labor negotiations and other potential legal matters

Supports employee/labor relations process including conducting investigations, administering disciplinary action and preparing grievance responses as needed

Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations to ensure local compliance with federal and state laws

Assures accurate data within the HRIS system and administers benefit, leave, vacation and employee assistance programs

Manage local staffing initiatives including planning, recruiting, interviewing, selection, hiring, and new employee orientation

Advise managers on policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, employee benefits, and employee relations issues

Prepare and monitor Human Resources budget for local operations as directed.

Assist local leadership in employee development, workforce & succession planning
Essential for Success:
-
Proven leadership in labor relations, including grievance and arbitration administration and contract negotiations

Experience working in a union environment is necessary
-
Minimum of 8 years of experience in progressively responsible HR roles, specifically from within a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of FMLA and the related policies
-
Knowledge of packaging or printing industry preferred
-
General knowledge of Federal, State and Local labor laws
-
Ability to travel up to 25%
