| Description: | Mead & Hunt, a nationwide professional services consulting firm, has a rare and exciting opportunity for an HR generalist to join our fast-paced human resources department. This position involves performing tasks in multiple areas of HR such as benefits, compliance, training, recruiting, and employee communication. Responsibilities include research, data entry, drafting and proofing documents, filing, working with spreadsheets, scheduling interviews, checking references, and running reports. The ability to maintain confidentiality is absolutely essential. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in human resources, business, or relevant field AND at least three years of experience in human resources; if no degree; the successful candidate must have at least seven years of experience in human resources. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: knowledge of or experience with HRMS software (Paylocity a plus); experience writing job descriptions; knowledge of or experience with various HR regulations and employment laws; knowledge of or experience with various aspects of HR such as recruiting, benefits, compliance, training, employee communication, etc.; research skills; knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to work with a variety of personality types.
