| Description: | Mead & Hunt, a nationwide professional services consulting firm, has a rare and exciting opportunity for an entry-level HR generalist to join our fast-paced human resources department. This position involves performing tasks in multiple areas of HR such as training, recruiting, benefits, compliance, and employee communication. Responsibilities include research, data entry, drafting and proofing documents, filing, working with spreadsheets, scheduling interviews, checking references, and running reports. The ability to maintain confidentiality is absolutely essential. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in human resources, business, or other relevant field; or be able to obtain the degree within six months of hire. If no degree, the successful candidate must have at least four years of experience in human resources. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: knowledge of or experience with HRMS software; knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; knowledge of or experience with various HR regulations and employment laws; knowledge of or experience with various aspects of HR such as recruiting, benefits, compliance, training, employee communication, etc.; research skills; writing skills; ability to work with a variety of personality types.
