The Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day human resources support within the RenewAire facility in the following areas: benefits, payroll, compensation, safety, legal compliance, staff communications and employee relations.  Provides support to VP HR, President RenewAire, and Production / Materials Management.

Data and HRIS Management

  • Manage the HR database and integrity of database systems by routinely auditing data and processes
  • Continuously work to improve data integrity by reviewing and evaluating data and processes for potential improvement
  • Evaluate business partners / vendors that may better serve the organization through price, service, or other criteria
  • Work with manufacturing and administrative managers to identify data and reporting needs, identify data requirements to meet those needs, and implement data collection and reporting systems.
  • Generate ongoing and ad hoc reports from HR and MRP systems


Payroll / Benefits

  • Prepare and process biweekly payroll
  • Oversee Paid Time Off program for RenewAire, including vacation accruals
  • Assist in the annual development and selection process for benefits plans
  • Communicate and administer benefit programs, manage annual open enrollment process
  • Conduct benefit orientations
  • Maintain benefit records and ensure accurate, up to date employee information
  • Create and maintain Employee Benefit Statements
  • Resolve escalated benefit and payroll issues
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships
  • Prepare reports as necessary
  • Serve as ongoing resource for all employee benefit questions
  • Administer FMLA and disability processes
  • Ensure compliance with ACA requirements



  • Assist the VP HR in establishing company wage and salary structure, and support the administration of the pay systems within the company including bonuses, incentive plans, and merit raises
  • Conduct competitive market research to establish pay practices that help to recruit and retain superior staff


Safety / Risk Management

  • Assist with coordination of Company Safety Program
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings
  • Assist management with safety incident investigations
  • Ensure safety policies are adhered to
  • Maintain OSHA logs and data
  • Manage Workers Compensation program
  • Work with managers to identify employee and environmental safety concerns.  Assists in development of action plans to eliminate or reduce risks.
  • Assist with administration of Commercial  Insurance program / policies


Employee Relations

  • Assist with coaching managers on internal policies, practices, and procedures based on understanding of the Employee Handbook and internal practices and policies to promote consistent and fair decisions by leadership regarding employee relations and complaint resolution in a timely, responsive, and effective manner
  • Assist with the development and recommendation of Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regard to employee relations
  • Update Employee Handbook as needed
  • Maintain all required HR record keeping including personnel files, government filings, and other essential employee records
  • Assist with the administration of the Production Attendance policy by tracking attendance and paid/unpaid time off
  • Assist with the development and tracking of Disciplinary Action documents



  • Provide administrative support to VP HR, President,– projects and tasks (one time and regular occurring)
    • Prepare reports, data analysis and presentations for assigned projects
  •  Provide support for company employee events
  • Act as backup for maintaining office supplies and facility support as needed
  • Act as backup  for preparing daily labor and attendance reporting as needed
  • Act as backup for recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management as needed
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a closely related field and 3-5 years of HR/ office administrative responsibility.
  • Previous HRIS, compensation, benefits or executive administrative experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel-intermediate to advanced in all areas)
  • Previous experience and good working knowledge of computer /database systems   
  • Previous report writing and data analysis methods experience
