Description: Position requires regular travel between Janesville, WI and Rockford, IL

JOB SUMMARY The OD Specialist Level 2 is responsible for diagnosis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of organizational and leadership development strategies in order to achieve the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Mercyhealth. Using advanced influence and consultative techniques, the OD Specialist Level 2 builds solutions across all levels of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training and Development • Conducts needs analysis of individual, team and leader development requests from executives, and department managers; clarifies performance and development objectives and provides targeted learner centric solutions that are aligned to Mercyhealth strategic priorities and organizational outcomes. • Designs and delivers customized, engaging, results-oriented interventions, workshops, e-learning, meetings and other learning experiences to improve employee, leadership and team performance. • Organizes on-going programs including new partner and leader orientation, tuition reimbursement, culture assessments, leader business skills curriculum and management skills training.

Consultation and Engagement • Coach, consult and design talent management solutions for leaders and high-potentials through advanced business partnerships, collaboration, and influencing techniques. • Educates and coaches management with implementing corporate talent management processes and initiatives including development planning, employee engagement, and team effectiveness. • Partner with HR team to develop and implement programs to impact human resources accountabilities.

Performance Improvement/Management • Assist in driving organization-wide talent development processes such as Performance Management and Succession Planning to achieve organizational goals. • Design and implement development strategies/ solutions to assist in achieving the Culture of Excellence.

Change Management • Develop and conduct assessments/surveys to meet individual, work group or organization needs. • Collaborate with department leaders to develop team and large scale intervention strategies. • Evaluate and communicate results of interventions strategies. Project Management Engage in and manage projects in collaboration with system leaders. Develop and implement effective plans to align with organizational goals and objectives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or equivalent is required. Five (5) or more years of experience in human resource development, organizational effectiveness, learning Knowledge of learning and organizational effectiveness theory and best practices. Proven advanced experience in a consultant/facilitation role. Demonstrated success presenting and communicating ideas to selected stakeholders and project management. Able to manage projects, create effective plans and execute. Experience creating e-learning programs using related authoring software Familiarity with learning management systems Has strong interpersonal skills: listening and communication. Has strong oral and written communication skills. Has strong Microsoft Office proficiency. Has effective organizational skills

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Certification as a trainer in Crucial Conversation preferred. Certifications and skills in training and development preferred. Certification in conducting personality assessments preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • Travel required to multiple Mercyhealth locations. • Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check. • Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
