Description: General Summary: This position will oversee the workflow processes of the employment team including talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, recognition, and employment compliance. Responsible to coach, mentor, train, and evaluate the work of others.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sets goals for performance standards and deadlines to comply with the company goals and legal requirements.
• Organizes workflow and ensures that team members understand their duties or delegated task.
• Monitors team member productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching.
• Reviews and all recommended advanced employment actions to ensure fair and consistent policy administration.
• Oversees company talent acquisition programs including sourcing, attracting, recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding team members to the organization.
• Ensures the administration of compliance programming such as drug testing, turnover reporting, EEO-1 reporting, SSN verifications, and employment posters.
• Lead team member retention initiatives resulting in reduction of turnover.
• Recommend improvements in work flow processes and systems changes to result in the most efficient and effective methods possible.
• Assists in policy writing and makes recommendations for changes based on market changes and experience with current policy administration.
• Ensures there are current job descriptions for all positions in the company.
• Coordinates a quarterly review of workers compensation claims. Performs ongoing monitoring of claims handling and OSHA log recording.
• Keeps abreast of unemployment process, reviews all initial and final determinations, and address concerns as they happen.
• Works directly with temporary staffing agencies and external recruiters for hard to fill positions.
• Approves and reviews all employment advertising and social media posts to ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with brand messaging.
• Ensures Crystal Finishing is represented at all appropriate sourcing locations such as high schools, technical colleges, universities, job fairs, online career development opportunities, and onsite tours with individual job developers.
• Regularly monitors compliance with all state and federal legal requirements. Keeps oneself updated on all updates.
• Approves all leave of absences, job reassignments, and suspensions.
• Oversees employee relations and recognition activities.
• Actively participates in management development activities.
• Presents a professional image of Crystal Finishing Systems, Inc.
• Maintains confidentiality of business, employee, and candidate information.
• Provides back-up coverage for front reception and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
Working Environment:
• Works independently in an office environment. Will be required to have a presence in manufacturing plants as needed.
• Occasional weekend and/or late shifts as needed.
 
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communication, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong familiarity with state and federal employment regulations including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Workers Compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ACA), Unemployment Compensation, etc.
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in advanced level Human Resource roles.
• Extensive knowledge of computer software (Windows and Microsoft office) and HRIS systems required including advanced report writing.
• Must be results-drive and focused.
• Ability to work independently, be self-directed and effectively lead others. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. High levels of interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels of the organization.
