Description: Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) is a not-for-profit managed health care organization that provides the entire spectrum of health care services, including insurance, Primary Care and Specialty Care.
As a Human Resources (HR) Generalist, you will be responsible for independently providing a broad range of human resource services in the areas of employee recruitment and selection, compensation; employee benefits; employee relations; and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) management.

1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Human Resources Management, Social Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a human resource management, business, healthcare administration or similar environment.
3. SHRM-CP certification or HRCI - PHR certification is desirable but not required.
4. Broad knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management and administration including employee recruitment and selection, compensation, and employee relations.
5. Knowledge of human resources related laws and regulations including FLSA, FMLA and ADA requirements, employee selection, employee discipline and termination.
6. Knowledge of computer based software programs such as MS Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheet, calendar and email. Knowledge of and ability to use MS Excel is required.
7. Knowledge of or ability to learn and effectively use Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) technology and programs used in employee management, recruitment and compensation administration. Ceridian experience is preferred but not required.
