Description: The purpose of this position is to perform a diverse scope of Human Resources generalist and analyst functions in support of Human Resources & Education Department operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

HR Generalist Duties
•Responsible for conducting recruitment activities as part of the HR team; responds to applicant inquiries; sources jobs; screens applications /resumes; conducts phone and on-site interviews; assesses candidates and; refers candidates for hire.
•Updates and maintains the organization’s internal employment job board and employment website materials.
•Serves as a liaison to external job search engines our organization advertises on; works with HR team members to identify feature jobs; review job activity reports; suggests strategies to gain visibility for hard-to-fill jobs; and troubleshoots to resolve issues as needed.
•Updates, maintains and creates content in the Human Resources Management System. Processes changes including job, pay, hours, supervisor, location, employment type and other personnel changes in the system.
•Assists with job description creation and updates; interacts with hiring managers to establish/clarify job duties, responsibilities and requirements; reviews for exemption status and; compiles and analyzes survey data.

HRIS Duties
•Updates and maintains data in the HR management system (HRIS), applicant tracking system, and employee Self Service systems. Assists with the learning management system.
•Creates, builds and generates queries and reports upon request. Generates a variety of standard and custom reports.
•Performs systems security tasks. Provides access to HR team members and managers following approval.
•Researches and troubleshoots transactional /data errors in the HRIS.
•Performs group data updates, imports, exports and changes. Verifies accuracy of data following imports. •Merges data from various databases; creates and generates spreadsheets and reports. •Gains knowledge of systems functionality and capabilities to yield process improvements such as increased use of auto generated reports. Data and Analytics Tasks
•Responds to standard and non-standard data requests. Prepares and generates reports and data for HR team members and leadership.
•Responsible for reporting on identified key metrics. Generates and collects data from team members and various sources. Develops quarterly metrics reports and the year-end metrics report. Presents metrics reports and key findings.
•Prepares /assists in the preparation of surveys. Completes external survey requests such as compensation and/or benefits requests. Assists in compensation studies and compensation structure design.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin. or a closely related field with four years progressively responsible post degree HR experience or equivalent.
HRIS and applicant tracking system administration experience.

This position requires travel to company office locations.
Must maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
Must maintain an acceptable driver’s record per company policy.
Must maintain proof of current auto insurance.
Must have access to a vehicle in good working condition.

Ability to use a computer for e-mail, data inquiry, and data entry.
Knowledge of HR principles and practices.
Knowledge and application of HR systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Skilled in databases, internet search tools, social media for recruitment.
Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction.
Ability to provide accurate and detailed information.
Excellent communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Ability to work independently on projects as assigned.
Ability to demonstrate strong moral and ethical standards.

Physical Requirements
This position rates as medium work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
