Position – Chief Human Resources Officer
 
Position Purpose:
·         A champion for the food safety management system and employee safety initiatives
·         Direct, oversee and ensure enactment of all human resource initiatives
·         Formulate, prioritize and implement strategic initiatives for Galloway to retain and attract talent
·         Create a culture where employees can thrive personally and professionally
·         Direct, oversee and ensure execution of the human capital management process
·         Develop policies and procedures for the personal and professional development of employees
·         Provide an organizational resource for development of group & individual accountabilities & a framework for performance measurement against those goals
·         Develop the company’s policies related to salary, variable compensation and benefits
·         Ensure Galloway’s compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations

Decision Making:
In conjunction with the President and the senior leadership team, the incumbent will establish and direct all strategies and objectives for the human resources team. The Chief Human Resources Officer will work with key leadership (owners) to develop and implement programs, policies and processes which support the accomplishment of strategic and operational plans. The incumbent provides direction to their team in the interpretation and channeling of available resources toward the achievement of the identified strategic and annual objectives.
Primary Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for the development of innovative methods, practices and policies to retain and attract talent
·         Responsible to lead the Company’s human capital process
·         Develop and lead the design and implementation of our training and people development practices
·         Develop and lead the design and implementation of our performance management practices and the integration with our development practices
·         Responsible for the integration of individual performance metrics with performance measurement and personal development
·         Develop the Company’s salary structure to include the variable compensation component
·         Responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s hiring policies, programs and practices
·         Responsible to ensure Galloway remains in compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations
·         Active participant in the strategic planning and annual budgeting activities
·         Active participant in Union negotiations
·         Back-up responsibility for Non-Union Payroll and HR Information System
·         Weekend Coverage – Flexibility in hours – some weekend/holiday work required
                         
Required Knowledge, Experience and Education: 
·         A Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field
·         MBA or other advanced degree preferred
·         Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in executive level managerial experience leading a human resource function for a manufacturing organization
·         Ability to work collaboratively with a senior level management team in a highly regulated industry
·         Prior experience with developing and executing strategic & operational plans
·         Demonstrated skill in analyzing business processes and implementing opportunities for improvement
·         Highly developed leadership, management, interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, decision making, conflict resolution, negotiating, influencing and consultative skills
·         Solid computer skills to include MS Office applications
