Job Description

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist will provide HR guidance and support to management and employees regarding compliance and employee relations; serve as the corporate HR focal point for Renaissance; develop and recommend new or modified policies and procedures; assures legal compliance with applicable HR-related laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a valuable and trusted resource to employees seeking guidance on questions relating to company policies, procedures, and practices

• Work with management and employees from all locations on employee relations related matters • Conduct and assist with internal investigations as needed

• Ensure legal compliance with US government regulations and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, as well as Renaissance policies and procedures

• File the annual EEO-1 report; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations; produce the EEO-1 report periodically as requested for customer RFP’s and submissions

• Manage and ensure I-9 compliance (including auditing compliance, providing regular training and ensuring compliance with participation in the E-Verify program)

• Maintain and update the corporate Affirmative Action plans • Develop company- wide ADA processes and other regulatory processes.

• Facilitate employee web-based training on various HR and compliance topics

• Create, edit, and maintain corporate job descriptions, including annual audits of job titles and periodic reviews of job descriptions with management

• Responsible for drafting corporate policies and guidelines and seeking the appropriate approvals

• Maintaining availability of all corporate policies on the company’s SharePoint site

• Administer the employee engagement survey, compile results, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement

• Conduct exit interviews and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement • Manage external vendors for compliance training.

• Conduct annual audits on various items to ensure compliance

• Take an active role in the development of programs and policies in support of the company mission and goals, in particular recruitment and retention

Qualifications

The Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist should have excellent interpersonal skills to be capable of communicating and partnering with employees and management across the organization. Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, AND
• At least five years’ Human Resources experience with a strong emphasis on employee relations
• Strong knowledge of investigations and employment law to include the principles, practices and procedures of Human Resources Management
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and discretion in handling confidential information and situations
• Proven knowledge in employment laws and policies
• Certification in Human Resources (SHRM or HRCI) is encouraged but not essential

Location Preference: This position can be located out of the corporate office in Wisconsin Rapids, WI or our Madison, WI office location.
