Description: Madison College is seeking an energetic, creative and responsive leader to lead the College’s performance management, talent assessment, succession planning and leadership development training programs in the role of Director of Professional Training and Development. This position plans and coordinates processes to enhance the knowledge and skills of Madison College’s administrative and support staff. The person in this role must have the ability to synthesize complex issues into understandable solutions and expectations.

Salary range: $85,148-$110,693

Essential Duties

1. Develops a strategic vision and plan for Madison College’s professional learning programs in partnership with Madison College cabinet members and in alignment with Madison College’s organizational priorities.
2. Partners with the HR Business Partners and leadership to identify and define employees’ skills gap and education needs to increase employee performance and achieve business objectives.
3. Delivers educational programs via formal and informal methods such as: Hands-on, instructor led, virtual classroom, simulations, e-Learning, mobile and partnering with educational institutions. Monitors market trends and conducts industry benchmarking.
4. Develops metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure results, impact, and cost-effectiveness of professional learning programs.
5. Directs and oversees the development and execution of an organization wide performance management system.
6. Performs needs assessments and reviews of organizations resources to ensure that learning and development resources exist or are developed to support learning needs based upon projected competencies, organizational changes, and other external factors as well as short and long term goals of the College.
7. Develops and oversees new hire orientation and the college’s management training program.
8. Leads a strategic approach to an effective curriculum design and long term planning for training and development.
9. Works closely with our HR team to develop training of business leaders at the vice president, director, manager and supervisor level on how to coach and develop their support staff and administrative teams to provide regular feedback and set development goals in a practical and meaningful manner.
10. Oversees processes to create and track career plans and individual professional development plans.
11. Collaborates on the development and rollout of the competency models and career development pathways.
12. Analyzes organizational issues; develops and implements change management programs that will improve organizational functioning and leadership bench strength.

Qualifications

1. Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

2. Seven years’ of learning and organizational development experience, which must include supervisory experience and experience in planning and facilitating comprehensive training programs.
