Description: Our Manager of Total Rewards develops, implements and manages total rewards programs for the company. This role provides ongoing assessment of effectiveness of programs in attracting and retaining talent for the company, and managing overall costs for the company.


Characteristics and Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation and administration of new and existing compensation and benefit programs in accordance with plan documents.  
  • Collaborate with managers to understand their issues with compensation and benefits.  
  • Provide advice to management on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job design ensuring the delivery of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.  
  • Manage the annual analysis of compensation programs through participation in market surveys, market analysis, trend analysis and research.  
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation system, guidelines and procedures; recommend plan revisions and introduce new plans that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and company objectives.  Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data to demonstrate metrics of success.  
  • Develop cost control procedures to optimize coverage costs for the company and employees.  
  • Advise and counsel management and employees on existing benefits.  
  • Manage the execution of periodic open enrollment periods.  
  • Resolve complex employee benefit plan issues.  
  • Ensure compensation and benefit plan compliance with federal, state and local statutes and regulations including, but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, ADA and ACA.  
  • Manage required plan audits and coordinate annual 5500 filings.  


Qualifications

Work Experience

Required

  • 8 or more years of experience in human resources to include 5 or more years of well-rounded experience in total rewards and 2 or more years of supervisory experience

Preferred

  • Experience within in insurance and/or health care industry
 

Education

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area

Preferred

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR), Certified Benefit Professional (CBP), or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
