Description: Catholic Charities Madison is seeking a Human Resources professional to partner with management and employees in the areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement & retention, and policy interpretation.  The position reports to the Manager of Human Resources.

The HR Partner is a new position within the HR function that will support the operations of two programs for the developmentally disabled.  In addition to providing day-to-day direction on HR policies and processes, the candidate selected will be responsible for managing the recruitment and employment functions for these two programs including; sourcing and screening candidates and providing finalist for placement.  The HR Partner will also gather and analyze employee retention data and provide oversight and direction on effective onboarding and initial training processes for new hires. The successful candidate will be key in the development and use of technology as it relates to recruitment, record keeping and employee communication.
 
The most qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience including:
·         HR generalist experience in the areas of employee and manager development, policy development and administration, supervisory coaching, and performance management
 
·         The confidence and comfort to think well on his/her feet and possess an ability to tactfully challenge others when appropriate
 
·         Recruitment expertise including utilizing innovative candidate sourcing techniques, the active cultivation of referral contacts, and the use of social media beyond the routine use of employment postings and ads.
 
·         Candidates must have honed interviewing skills to identify the people most likely to learn quickly, develop commitment to our clients and mission, and those who are looking for a steady employment relationship with growth prospects.
