We are seeking an experienced talent development specialist to prepare us for now and for the future. As a Learning & Development Specialist with us, you’ll move between creating and facilitating training you create with partnering with the organization at a strategic level around talent identification and development, employee engagement, and organizational growth. You’ll also hone your skills as an HR professional through partnering with business leaders on human resources related issues and concerns impacting the work environment.

We are a growing company with retail outlets that help fund programs and services we provide to strengthen our community. We are seeking a multi-faceted talent development specialist to manage the employee life-cycle of development to meet the organization’s current needs and strategic objectives.

This is a full-time position (40-hours/week) with flexible scheduling and competitive benefits.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Ability to perform at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Partner with leaders and colleagues across the organization on all aspects of talent development.
  • Build and facilitate your own training, while managing external training providers.
  • Coach business leaders on all aspects of human resources.
  • Balance being an employee or a candidate advocate with fulfilling the needs of the organization.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and agility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years’ related experience or post high school education/ certifications with a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, electronically, over the phone, and face-to-face.
  • Access to automobile, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and good driving record.
  • Experience with variety of training platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and managing outside vendor relationships strongly preferred.
  • HR or Talent Development certification, a plus.
  • Retail and non-profit experience, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, a plus.
