Registration for the 2018 Leadership Conference is now open!


Registration is now open for this year’s conference at the Grand Geneva Resort in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This conference will offer you leadership strategies that will strengthen your chapter, council or student group and present valuable networking opportunities for chapter leaders from across the state. Past attendees believe this is a must attend for chapter board members and one of the true values provided by the WI SHRM State Council for its leaders.

Conference Schedule

The Conference kicks off with lunch at 11:30 am on August 9th and will conclude by 2:15 pm on Friday, August 10th.

Thursday Keynote:

Denna Singh, Chief Change Agent

How to Hustle with Purpose
To be a change agent, you must live a Purposeful life daily and use your talents, skills, and resources to Hustle for something greater than yourself!  This session will do a deep dive into how to develop the courage, curiosity, resiliency, an initiative of a Purposeful Hustler.   Attendees will leave with practical tips on how to make a difference in the world.

Deanna Singh, Founder/Chief Change Agent of Flying Elephant, is known for giving audiences the tools and courage to imagine, activate, and impact the world as agents of change. She is trailblazer and dynamic speaker who is at the forefront of social change. She is an accomplished author, educator, business leader, and champion for marginalized communities.  Deanna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Fordham University, a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is also the author of two children’s books, I am a Boy of Color, and I am a Girl of Color and a business book the Purposeful Hustle.

Your Thursday Night Activity - Get outside and wind down from the first day with Happy Hour and dinner hosted at the Pavilion.  Afterwards, relax by the fire and enjoy conversation with your colleagues.  If you're up for some friendly competition, sign up to participate in the GRAND RACE Scavenger Hunt!  Pre-registration is encouraged to assist with planning the number and size of teams.

Growing up in the UK, and living in the US since 1998, Jonathan has almost 20 years of experience in the people industry. He started Titus Talent after experiencing firsthand that the traditional recruiting model was broken and had to be changed to produce better results and create lasting partnerships. Jonathan currently leads a unique, fast­ growing team of talent consultants who are located across the United States. Jonathan is a creative problem solver (with a delightful British accent) and currently consults with companies nationally on how to approach their talent strategy.

Based on popular demand, we are bringing back a new and improved Cork Pull.  Buy a cork for $10 and win a fine bottle of wine!!!  For those who like spirits, we will have a separate selection of spirits. For $20, buy a balloon and win a bottle of spirits! 
Are you finished with your summer book list?  How about working on your own professional development?  We will have a selection of professional books available for purchase for $5 per book.  All proceeds will go to support the Foundation.

Show off your putting skills on the putting green!  This is another opportunity for you to support the Foundation with our “putting” competition Thursday night.  The winner of the putting contest will receive bragging rights along with a fabulous prize!!  $5.00 for 3 putts.
