A Message from the WI State Council
We’d like to welcome you to the newly re-modeled Wisconsin SHRM State Council website. This new website is the result of many efforts of state council volunteer leaders and website development partners. Most notably, I’d like to thank Doralyn Retzlaff, WI SHRM Communications Director, for her outstanding project leadership and commitment to this effort. Together with her team, she is responsible for bringing WI SHRM forward with a functionally and aesthetically enhanced site.
This website is for your use as a WI SHRM member-at-large; chapter member, valued contributor, sponsor, conference partner, vendor, speaker or friend of council. Through our re-design process we discovered what a diverse cross-section of HR and business professionals use this site for information, registering or finding a resource to contact.
Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with this site. There is an incredible amount of new information. Our commitment is to maintain a dynamic web resource for you -- one in which information changes as quickly as it comes to us. As an example, you’ll see much more information regarding state council and chapter events via a master calendar. You’ll find that registration for all major WI SHRM state conferences will be accessed through this site (WI SHRM annual conference; legislative, WI SHRM leadership, etc.). You’ll get to know core leadership area representatives across the state, like chapter diversity or membership champions. You’ll see a brand-new online nomination process by which you can nominate yourself or a colleague for a state SHRM volunteer leadership position. You’ll find our phenomenally successful job bank. Finally, you’ll be introduced to the organizations with whom the state council and our chapters have a relationship.
In the near future, you’ll find most of our connections to the incredible state-wide network of HR and business professionals will be found via links to this website. It’s our hope that by changing the look, feel and functionality of this site, you’ll re-discover the incredibly valuable connection between our state HR professionals/SHRM members; our statewide chapters; the state council at large and you. We trust that you’ll find and use this information to serve each other as HR professionals, and to advance the HR profession in our great state of Wisconsin.
