The 2008 SHRM Leadership Conference will be held Nov. 20-22, 2008, in Arlington, Va. Below are some frequently asked questions regarding the conference.

"When will I receive a Leadership Conference registration brochure?"
|

The conference brochure will be available on the website at the end of August.
|

"I'm planning my travel to the conference. When does it start?"
|
|
A:
|
There are pre-conference workshops and meetings that begin as early as 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. The "official" opening general session is at 3:00 p.m.

"When does the conference end?"
|
|
A:
|
The conference concludes on Saturday, Nov. 22, with the closing luncheon, which ends at 2:00 p.m. Post-conference meetings (for regional council members and membership advisory council members only, and by invitation only) will run from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

"How do I make my hotel reservations for this conference?"
|
|

Eligible attendees may make their reservations directly with the Crystal Gateway Marriott by calling (703) 920-3230. If the main hotel is not available, you can call the Crystal City Marriott (703) 413-5500 or the Sheraton Crystal City (703) 486-1111. Hotel accommodations will not be made through or by SHRM. Be sure to mention the SHRM Leadership Conference. A credit card will be required to hold the reservation, even if the attendee qualifies for complimentary accommodations.

"What is the deadline for registering for this conference?"

Both the housing and registration deadlines are Oct. 15, 2008. Book your hotel early as SHRM cannot guarantee availability. If you have further questions or need additional information, contact a member of your Regional Team!
